Working Opportunities

If you would like to work for us over our harvest period please do not hesitate to contact us, either by e-mail or by conventional post. We are always looking for hard working, self motivated and reliable people who take pride in their work. You can find our address by clicking on "Contact us".

If you are an EU citizen then you will not be required to obtain a work permit. Please submit your application, listing your name, age, sex, nationality, current employment (if student please state what course you are studying), previous experience, any specific driving / machinery proficiency (e.g. tractor, fork lift etc) and any other relevant information. If you are from a non-English speaking country please indicate whether you are proficient in any languages other than your mother tongue. We regret that accommodation on site is much sought after and limited to 20 places. Therefore we encourage prospective pickers to find nearby alternative accommodation if at all possible. Regrettably, due to the unpredictability of the weather in the UK we do not allow pickers to camp on the farm.

If you are not an EU citizen, then by law you must have a work permit if you wish to earn money in the UK. We cannot arrange this personally for you as foreign placements are controlled by the Home Office. However there are organisations that you can apply to if you are keen to do harvest work in the UK. One such organisation is HOPS (GB) (Harvesting Opportunity Permit Scheme). Their address is YFC Centre, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, CV8 2LG, England. Tel: 00 44 (0)1203 857206, or e-mail hopsgb@nfyfc.org.uk. You may have to use an agent that acts on behalf of HOPSGB in your country. If you are still unable to get a placement through any organisation you can e-mail us, giving as much information about yourself as possible, and we can try and put you in touch.

Our main harvest usually commences in late August until mid October. If you work for Charrington Farms you will become very much part of a team where quality and dedication are of the utmost importance.
